I expected more from Creative. Even though I purchased on sale and with a rebate on top of that, I still don’t think I got my money’s worth.

Most speakers these days has a volume and a bass boost. This set has a volume and a TONE control. My transistor radio from the 70’s had a tone control. The sound reproduction from these is more reminiscent of $9.99 computer speakers, the ones that these replaced. Had I not already sent in for the rebate (UPC code) I would have returned them without hesitation. I admit the bass is a little better than my old ones, but without the tone turned completely up there is absolutely no highs so it’s a totally useless knob.

They are attractive and ok for cheap speakers. They are not worth regular price at all. You can do much better for $50.

Man was I disappointed with these speakers. Not worth $50. Poor power and tinny sound. Would have paid $15 for these speakers…

I think these speakers are passable, in that they take up little space, and are sleekly, blackly elegant if that’s to your taste. However, compared to name brand 2.1 systems of 1/2 the t10’s cost, they have very little bass, and none of it deep. That said, the mids and highs are pretty good, and you CAN increase bass if you’re willing to put one of these on the floor (thus sacrificing one channel of mid/highs–at ear level that is).

Bottom line, if you really can’t afford the space of a third box (subwoofer) somewhere on the floor, the T10’s will provide decent, clean high-fi sound minus bass with minimal physical intrusion. If you’re fussy about sound, though, (and I am NOT a fan of exaggerated bass–I prefer accurate reproduction), you’ll prefer a system with a subwoofer.

We turned these speaker on/off approximately ten times before the volume control internals failed. (The potentiometer is physically broken) No excessive force was used or anything. They must have used really cheap inferior parts to build these speakers.

First set of speakers worked great for about 10 hours. The next day they wouldn’t power up. Ordered a replacement set, and after a few hours of use these failed too. They just stopped (no power at all) while I was watching a movie on my computer.

Obviously there is a design or manufacturing flaw with these speakers. Too bad, they look great and sound good. I will not buy Creative speakers again.
